The initial part of the branding process is about getting to know your business in detail. Each business, even if it's within a specific sector, has a unique spark that we'll work together to find. The smaller the business, the more individual the personality it has and the more intertwined it is with you as the owner. The discovery phase is vital to a successful logo and brand identity design.
I take the knowledge gained during our informal chats and begin the design process. During the process I will keep in touch to share progress and get feedback from you. Your logo, colour palette, imagery, typography and visual style are all infused with the personality of your business, creating a design system that will allow you to hit the ground running and grow. This design foundation is then applied to everything you do in future, in print digital and in your web presence.
After we've built your visual identity together, You'll get all the things you need to take your brand forward and create engaging visual design across websites, print and digital media. You'll get a brand pack with your logo — in all the file types you'll need— and identity guidelines detailing how to consistently use your logo, colour palette and typography, giving you both you and your audience confidence in your brand. You'll get all the support you need after delivery and I'm always on hand to help out.
Every project is unique, but branding projects, depending on complexity and what you need, can take from 4 to 12 weeks.
Custom brand packages vary in scope depending on your needs, but all include your logo in all necessary formats, colour palette, and font choice. Projects with a larger scope can include illustrations and imagery, social media, print and packaging design and anything else the project requires.
Creating a strong, consistent and unique visual identity helps you build a trusted and engaging relationship with your audience. It makes you memorable and gives a strong sense of professionalism. Taking the time to craft a strong visual brand will ultimately build confidence not only for your customers, but for you also.
Small and micro business budgets always vary. And as a one person studio, I know that it's a major part of a decision to invest in a big thing like a brand identity. Ordinarily, projects are split into two, with a deposit when we start and another on completion. However, I'm more than happy to discuss what works for you.
"It depends" is a really annoying answer I know. But, Investing properly in your brand early on and making sure you get an identity that should be an involved process. It will add real value to your business and means you won't need to make big changes as you grow. The exact investment you'll make will ultimately depend on the size of the project and your needs, but I've put together a general guide.
All you need to give your business a strong visual foundation to take you forward. Your logo, colours, typography and brand guidelines.
