A classic identity for a historic gardens.

A calming, evolving brand identity inspired by the gardens themselves.

What Su and Nigel Needed.

A brand identity that would capture a friendly and approachable feel for her new Art based therapy workshop. The aim was to create something that would appeal across a broad range of people and invite them to take part in various art based workshops for all ages and abilities. Budget was also of importance.

How I helped.

Concept development, Logo Design, Colour palette, Typography, Custom Cyanotype Illustration, Photography.

Logo design.

The Betley Court Gardens logo takes its cue from the monograms of the 18th century and combines the BC letterforms with a flower motif.

Identity design.

The identity is inspired changing nature of the gardens which have evolved over time. Having chosen just the right green to represent the brand, I visited the gardens and took a variety of cyanotype prints from the plants and trees that grow there, capturing a moment in time. The cyanotypes were then coloured and used as illustrative elements in Betley Court's printed materials.
